Team Daft Split Forces in Preparation for the Round Ireland

As a high pressure moves over Ireland all of us in Team Daft are focused on different parts of the pre-race jobs. Mick is on the boat working through final checks before our safety inspection on thursday with the race organisers. Adam McCarthy, our software engineer is building in the speech systems so that I can interact with the instruments. And I have been collecting and packing our food and water supplies for the race. Trav is back tomorrow to work on the electronics and the marketing team are booking media appearances all the time. I am writing this in a taxi on my phone using a system that Markham Nolan set up for me and it is the reason why I have been able to update all my social media platforms from the mountains back training in norway earlier in the year, from the city centre as I collect new adventure gear or from the high seas as we brought the team daft yacht back from france. But today as we are split on our different jobs it struck me, yet again on another adventure, how important it is to have the right people on the team. We only have two on the race team but the true number in team daft has grown way beyond the two in the formal team. It is never perfect and it takes time to get things right but I think we have managed to get a team together which will result in a competitive performance in the race. Thanks everyone who has been involved so far. Almost ready!
